Oil palm breeding (AGPH)

Director: Jean-Marc Bouvet

Research area
The Oil palm breeding unit (AGPH) works on optimising oil palm breeding and production methods by describing genetic diversity, acting on resistance to biological pests, developing evaluation and marker-assisted breeding methods. The comparative advantages of varieties bred from heterozygotic hybrids or clones is studied in terms of strategy and the progress made in breeding.
