- Established in 2007 with an initial endowment of €20M from French government and initial founders
- €35 M complementary resources and pledges mobilized since inception
- Charter members are four of the country's top institutions for development-oriented research and higher education in Agriculture, Food and the Environment
- €14,5 M total funding commitment since inception, for more than 100 funded projects involving 175 Agropolis Fondation Fellows and 300 partners from 60 countries (more than 60% from the South and the Mediterranean)

- Pl@ntNet, a collaborative database on Plants (crops, invasive species, weeds ...)
- ArCaD, Agropolis Resource Center for Crop Conservation, Adaptation and Diversity
