What you can do

While we have the facilities and equipment - from experimental sites
to technological platforms - the challenge far outweighs our current means. Our initial endowment of €20 million, complemented by an additional €8 million pledges obtained since its creation, has enabled us to demonstrate Agropolis Fondation's remarkable potential.

In order to ensure that the vital work we have started not only continues but grows and flourishes, we need to raise €10 million by 2015. We seek to establish partnerships with those keen on exploring with us solutions to the world's food, agriculture and biodiversity challenges.

 

You can help by:

  • Providing permanent support by contribution to our endowment or through the establishment of Permanent Chairs that may be named after your organization. From €1 million.

  • Teaming-up up with us to launch Joint Calls for Proposals. We can match your €500K with another €500K to initiate a Call on a commonly identified priority thematic area.

  • Collaborating in the implementation of Pl@ntNet and ARCAD, or in developing future Flagship Programmes. From €300K, you can support these internationally visible and potentially high-impact initiatives.

  • Contributing to building scientific capacity. From €150K/year you can support a brilliant scientist with a Junior Fellowship Grant.

  • From €60K to €90K per year, you can offer a Doctoral or Post-doctoral Fellowship Grant to a promising young researcher from developing and emerging country.

  • Encouraging breakthrough research. From €20K, you can back the development of small, exploratory and "proof-of-concept" study which may later be developed into a full-blown scientific programme.

Contributions through donations, sponsorships, or joint research funding benefit from advantageous fiscal and tax incentives.*

*Contributions entitle companies to a tax break of 60% of the donation with a ceiling of 0.5% of the company turnover. Should this ceiling be exceeded or should the financial year shows a deficit the balance can be carried over for the 5 fiscal years following the donation (Article 238 bis 1° du code général des impôts (tax code)).
