Agropolis Fondation Senior Fellows
Agropolis Fondation Senior Fellows (PhD + 10 years experience) are eminent scholars with established research, publication and teaching record. They are expected to provide leadership in the development and implementation of an integrated and multidisciplinary project in agriculture and sustainable development while at the same time establishing and/or reinforcing international and strategic scientific partnership.
Candidates from or having worked in developing or emerging, Southern or Mediterranean countries are encouraged to apply.

Award package
- Internationally competitive salary
- Social security contributions, travel expenses and mobility allowance
- A research support package including a doctoral and a post-doc grant as well as additional funds for operating costs to reinforce the successful candidate’s research activities
Profile of eligible candidate
- Senior scientist (PhD + 10 years or more experience)
- From or having worked in developing or emerging, Southern or Mediterranean countries
- Should not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc) in France for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the date of submission of the proposal
Location and duration of tenure
- Montpellier or Avignon
- Up to 48 months
Eligibility criteria
- Involves the two thematic focus of the Foundation, i.e., Integrative Plant Biology and Social and Technological Dynamics of Innovation
- Final proposal submitted jointly by the Senior Fellow candidate and
the concerned research unit
- Full proposal must include the CV of the candidate
(For 1st stage evaluation, the Sr. Fellow candidate need not be identified)
Evaluation criteria
- Scientific excellence of the candidate
- Quality and international visibility of proposed project
- Quality of international partnership
- Quality of the technical facilities and biological resources placed at the disposal of the project by the units concerned
- Issues being addressed and potential socio-economic impacts of the project
