Agropolis Fondation Visiting Fellowship
Agropolis Fondation Visiting Fellows are outstanding scholars with significant track record in research, teaching and publication. They will be involved, either as team leaders or members of a team, in key research activities of one or two research units of the Foundation. This Programme is meant to foster scientific exchange between their home and host research unit.
Candidates from or having worked in developing or emerging, Southern or Mediterranean countries are encouraged to apply under this Programme.

Agropolis Fondation Visiting Fellows
Profile of eligible candidate
- Outstanding scientist (PhD + minimum of 3 years experience)
- Candidate from or having worked in developing or emerging, Southern or Mediterranean countries
- Should not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc) in France for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the date of submission of the proposal
Location and duration of tenure
- Montpellier or Avignon
- Up to 12 months
Eligibility criteria
- Depending on the level of experience, either the Agropolis Senior Fellow or Agropolis Fellow eligibility criteria will be applied
Evaluation criteria
- Scientific excellence of the candidate
- Quality and international visibility of proposed project
- Quality of international partnership
- Quality of the technical facilities and biological resources placed at the disposal of the project by the units concerned
- Issues being addressed and potential socio-economic impacts of the project
