The Foundation for World Agriculture and Rural Life (FARM) was created in 2005 with the mission of informing decision-makers in the countries of the South and the North, both public and economic, on three strategic issues:
- Commodity chains, from producers to markets
- Food and nutritional security
- The resilience of rural territories
More precisely, its objective is to bring multi-stakeholder reflections and to bring out solutions to :
- Increase the resilience of agriculture to climatic, health, security and economic shocks
- Contribute to the organization of producers and sustainable agricultural and agri-food sectors
- Promote public/private partnerships
- Helping to develop economic models
Acting as a Think Tank, it intervenes in four forms:
- Developing and financing reference studies
- Events in the form of webinars, seminars and conferences
- The promotion of publications and works (studies, articles)
- The contribution to pilot projects or development projects
