Abstract

The action which is the subject of this agreement is part of an objective to bring together and federate private and public players around a seminar, organised in June 2018 by the new business chair on the theme "biorefinery at the heart of the circular economy". The chair, supported by a scientific fabric of excellence, aims to boost and associate through its actions public research, higher education and companies to contribute to the transition towards a sustainable bioeconomy. This day, through the mobilisation of the actors upstream, the exchanges carried out and the associated communication, will contribute to the visibility and the development dynamics of this group. The participation of students from various specialities (engineering students from the ’Chemistry and bioprocesses for sustainable development’, Agro-Managers, Agro-foods options at Montpellier SupAgro, M2 students, doctoral students) will enable them to strengthen and mix their skills in the construction of innovative projects. In particular, it will convey the importance of decompartmentalising the food and non-food sectors through the concepts of the circular economy. The project is also part of a prospecting action for private partners, national or from Mediterranean and tropical countries, in order to create new opportunities with the socio-economic world and to consolidate the established contacts (Morocco, Thailand...)
