Abstract

Support for the organisation of the fifth edition of the "Hortimodel" conference, an international conference organised under the aegis of the ISHS (International Society for Horticultural Science)
The main objective of Hortimodel2016 is to promote disciplinary (ecophysiology, bioclimatology, genetics, physics, mathematics) and interdisciplinary exchanges on the modelling and optimisation of horticultural crop systems under shelter. On the other hand, the secondary objective is to encourage new exchanges between scientific communities involved in modelling plant functioning but on different production systems or different model plants. In fact, these scientific communities are strongly present within the Agropolis network, but structured in a relatively independent way, and traditionally faithful to different international congresses on modelling.
The congress will be organised around 4 scientific sessions:
- Topic 1: Decision-support modelling tools
- Topic 2: Modeling plant and organ responses to biotic and abiotic constraints
- Topic 3: Methodological issues for plant systems modeling
- Topic 4: Multi-scale, integrative approaches
