The general objective is to set up an initiative to structure the scientific community (Montpellier-Avignon) on food and nutrition (including health) in order to share our skills, to give coherence between research-education-development, to increase our visibility, and to produce a detailed strategic document in this field. This initiative is fully integrated into the MUSE triptych: care (health approach to food), feed, protect (environmental impact of food systems). It is also closely linked to the Unesco Chair "Food of the World".
The detailed objectives are
to establish a map of research and teaching in food-nutrition-health (Montpellier-Avignon) and permanent national and international collaborations (academic and non-academic partnerships);
to promote meetings within the "food-nutrition-health" scientific community
to identify 3 major original research areas around which we could federate multidisciplinary projects based on our complementary skills.
