Innovation and governance for sustainable wine production in multi-actor wine business entities: Case studies of French wine cooperatives and Japa-nese wineries-grape-grower networks

Abstract

This research project analyzes the complexity of technical innovation processes and concomitant managerial/organizational changes toward sustainable production among wine-making entities that work with many grape-growers (multi-actor wine-making entities).

The mobility intends to enable the Japanese scientist, Prof. Oda, in collaboration with a French project team composed of Professors, Assistant Professor, Research Engineer and Research Director : L-A. Saïsset (MOISA), J-M. Touzard (INNOVATION), E. Montaigne (MOISA), H. Hannin (MOISA and Head of Montpellier SupAgro/IHEV), and L. Torregrosa (AGAP), to conduct fieldwork in southern France in order to analyze comparatively French wine cooperatives in France and Japanese wineries working with local grape-growers.
