Abstract

The objectives of this application are threefold:
- The first ambition is to promote the Phytobiome approach within the regional higher education and research community.
- The second ambition is to create a network of researchers and research units likely to carry out projects based on the Phytobiome concept. The network’s ambition is to bring about multidisciplinary meetings of researchers, enabling them to share their work and broaden their vision, which is sometimes too focused, to all facets of the phytobiome. If the current trend tends to reduce the notion of phytobiome to plants and their microbiome, the progressive consideration of other components interacting with the plant must be the next step in consolidating studies on phytobiomes. This will be achieved in particular by setting up a workshop whose objectives will be to structure the network in order to respond to calls for tenders via the respective knowledge of the researchers.
The third ambition is to encourage research actors to broaden their field of vision, by involving researchers from other disciplines and organising training workshops. This will be done on the one hand through feedback (with presentations on the problems encountered and how they were overcome rather than on the results themselves), and on the other hand through dedicated training. Thematic workshops/seminars will be organised on subjects such as the problems of barcoding data analysis, setting up experiments and mastering the parameters tested, molecular characterisation of communities, discovering and integrating meteorological data, the influence of physical and chemical parameters on communities, etc.
